«Ivano-Frankivsk is one of the cities which have decided to gradually improve the bus fleets, replacing the outdated transport with Ukrainian-made vehicles. Residents of the city have already realized the quality and comfort modern domestic buses provide. Developing the infrastructure of a European city the Ivano-Frankivsk authorities continue replacing the obsolete vehicles with the new transport. Besides, the reasonable price of the buses allows local government to save money in order to invest them into other infrastructure projects», - Bogdan representatives note.
«Bogdan A70132» buses are designed to carry 106 passengers. The low floor makes a model convenient and comfortable for all citizens, including those with disabilities. All buses are equipped with wheelchair ramps, and anchors inside the passenger compartment. Air conditioners to provide comfort inside the bus are foreseen as well. «Bogdan A70132» buses are assembled with the use of European components, including Iveco engines, Allison automatic gearboxes as well as ZF-produced axles. The buses are being manufactured taking into account the latest requirements to comfort, safety and quality. All vehicles comply with Euro-5 emission standard.
It should be reminded that in 2018 the Lutsk-based «Car assembly plant #1» has won a tender on supplying 24 modern «Bogdan A70132» buses to Ivano-Frankivsk. The enterprise has proposed the lowest price via ProZorro system. This made it possible for local government to save UAH 14.4 million renewing the bus fleet. The Lutsk plant suggested the price of UAH 100.8 million while the expected procurement cost was UAH 115.2 million. They explain at the enterprise that the closed cycle of production and collaboration with domestic components and spare parts manufacturers contribute to affordable bidding price.
Bogdan supports Ukrainian local governments’ will to replace the outdated bus fleets with modern Ukrainian-made vehicles, and is collaborating with them in the frameworks of «Urban public transport in Ukraine» project which is financed by EBRD and European Investment Bank. In 2018 modern buses and trolleybuses manufactured by SE «Car assembly plant #1» in Lutsk have started working in Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Kherson and Kremenchuk.
