Bogdan’s Car-assembly plant #1 in Lutsk has won a tender on manufacturing and sending 57 modern 12-meter-long trolleybuses to Kharkiv. Bogdan’s press-service marks that the enterprise has offered the best bid.
Besides the production of trolleybuses, the bid includes supply of the spare parts, instruments, expendables, trolleybuses maintenance equipment and other related services.
«It should be noted that Bogdan’s large trolleybuses are equipped with electric engines produced by Khrakiv-based «Elektrovazhmash» plant. Therefore, renewing its municipal transport fleet the city, in fact, is also investing into its own, local production», - Serhii Krasulia, the press-secretary for Bogdan corporation notes.
Kharkiv will get T70117 trolleybuses equipped with 34 seats. The general passenger capacity of the model is 105 persons. They state in Bogdan that these low-floor trolleybuses are convenient for all categories of citizens, including seniors, people with disabilities and passengers with kids.
They also note in Bogdan that Kharkiv is one of those Ukrainian citizens, which are renewing their public transport fleets procuring domestically produced vehicles. The corporation actively supports the local governments’ initiatives aimed at providing and guaranteeing comfort and safety for passengers.
It should be reminded that Bogdan is collaborating with local authorities in the frameworks of «Urban public transport in Ukraine» project which is financed by EBRD and European Investment Bank. In 2018 modern buses and trolleybuses manufactured by SE «Car assembly plant #1» in Lutsk have started working in Ivano-Frankivsk, Sumy, Kherson and Kremenchuk. And at the beginning of 2019 Kyiv has placed an order for 55 high-capacity «Bogdan T90117» trolleybuses.
